25 Songs From My Favourites Playlist

25 songs from my current favourite spotify playlist music apple homepod lettering

I'm not usually one to talk about music on here because usually my music tastes are very much full of popular charts, listening to my parent's faves from my childhood, or I'm going through a phrase of blasting Disney songs wherever I go. However, as I've finally downloaded Spotify at work near the end of last year I had to make a playlist that I could listen to day in day out and not get bored, but also be filled with songs I knew fairly well enough to fall into the zone of work and not get distracted everytime a new song came on. So when I haven't been binging The Greatest Showman soundtrack on repeat here's a 25 track example of my 10-hour playlist:

Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA recently there's just so much going on. Pretty boring stuff like uni projects getting so much more intense and getting ready to move house. But yes I thought the #BlogGreatness theme for this week was a perfect time to try get back into the swing of things and update you a little bit too!

Now the theme this week is Square which I've used in the respect of good old Instagram! Since I've created a new Instagram account to use for this blog I've gotten back into instagramming so I thought I'd share some latest posts and update you on what's been happening.

While at home I used the time away from people I knew to try out something I've wanted to do for ages. I dip dyed the ends of my hair turquoise! It came out a gorgeous bright bluey green and I loved it. Unfortunately I didn't think about how it would fade and it turned rather green, however now it's a nice pale green that's hardly noticeable. It just wasn't that nice having to return to uni with green hair haha!

The last weekend of the six week holiday was Brads Brass Band Competition in Rotorua. Due to it being close to home this year my parents came along and we enjoyed the weekend listening to music and bonding with Brads family even more. This included a great brunch of the waffles above, gosh they were nice! Brad and his band managed to win the A Class competition which makes them to top brass band in Australasia, and Brad himself won the best soloist in the test piece which is a big thing too! There was heaps of snow on the way home too so we of course stopped for a snowball fight!

Since then it's pretty much been constant work for uni. Being only a few months until my fourth and final year starts my assignments at the moment are basically mini versions of the fourth year projects to get us ready and eager. Unfortunately this means I have so much work to do for all of my classes and it's proving hard to leave time to blog. I'll hopefully get used to it and get back into a nice system seen as my usual system of blogging on a thursday night has kind of been ruined now I have class 9-4 and just crash as soon as I get home (and then do more work for fridays class). Fingers crossed I get back into the swing of things as this blog has really taken a back seat over a couple of months so I really need to pull it forward and get back into it.

But yes how have you been?

Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars

This week it was announced that Ed Sheeran is coming back to New Zealand and I am so freaking excited and do not care how much he is going to cost I muuuuuust get a ticket! The last time I went to his concert was back in 2012 and it was the time where not a lot of people knew about him seen as The A Team had only recently made it to the New Zealand charts so I managed to get a seat on the second row (but spent the entire time leaning on the stage in the not-quite-a-mosh-but-that-kinda-thing area) and it was amazing. Since then he's been back twice and the first time it was the time of being accepted into unis and not knowing where I would be living I didn't get a ticket which really sucks. The second was a free concert where only contest winners could go which I unfortunately didn't win any of them but I was still able to watch the entire thing live on the internet in the comfort of my own home so it wasn't 100% bad.

He's probably one of little artists and bands that I tend to like pretty much every song they have as my least favourite song is This but I still really like it, his others are just flipping amazing. My boyfriend is still pretty impressed that I can rap all of You Need Me, I Don't Need You and the rap part of Sing haha the amounts of time I sing them in the shower is hard to count.

We got tickets! Yay!

The pre sale for Taylor Swift's Red Tour happened today and of course my two friends and I were poised at the ready refreshing the page to get tickets instead of going to our uni classes. As soon as one of us got the ticket page we went into an absolute frenzy as two of our laptops wouldn't go through the buying process without crashing so in the end it was third laptop lucky and we managed to get tickets. Unfortunately one of the ones we thought had crashed had actually gone through so we ended up with 3 more tickets than we wanted. The past hour has been spent on every social network we're on trying to sell the tickets so we wouldn't run up the bill on my parents credit card so much. So far we've managed to sell two so all is not lost, there's always trade me hehe.

I'm really excited for the show especially as Ed Sheeran has been touring with her and although it hasn't been announced if he is joining her for the New Zealand leg of the tour I still have hope. I'm not waiting til next year to see him again it's already been too long. Even if he doesn't Taylor will still be amazing and I have 6 months to go through every single one of her songs so far and learn every single lyric it will be amazing.

Oh and of course it being in Auckland we get to see Sam again which is fabulous. I can't wait x
