Meet Oliver

Friday, 6 February 2015
Just over two weeks ago this little chappy joined Brad and I in our little house. I felt that as he's already had his debut on Instagram that it was about time he met the rest of the internet! Meet Oliver, an 11 week old silver tabby cat who's the cheekiest adorable bugger ever.

We went along to his birth mothers house with high hopes of falling in love with either of the four little kittens she had and as soon as they were released from their cage we were hooked on his adorable face and unique markings. They were all incredibly cute and I did almost walk away with more than one but living on a student budget *sob sob*. At this point he was quiet, well behaved and really shy... which has long since passed!

Now two weeks have passed and he's gotten used to both of us and the house he's the craziest kitten ever and you wouldn't believe he was shy when we first met him. Well as long as another person doesnt enter the house then he runs straight under the lazy boy and stares at them through the little cat sized gap. He loves to play with his mouse, cables, plastic bags, cables, ribbon, cables and human body parts. But who can be angry at that adorable face?

Throwback Thursday

Whenever I come home or before I went to uni whenever I was bored I'd go and pick out a few photo albums and have a look through. We have so many, my Mum obviously got a bit snap happy in my brother and I's younger years but I'm not complaining. I'm quite a soppy nostalgic girl when it comes to old photos and frankly I'm just trying to figure out if I rocked the full fringe better now or when I was 4.. Sorry about the quality of the photos by the way, our scanner is broken so they're just photos of photos.

I know I tried to make all the photos of me but I had to include one of my cat, he's so little awwh. Well he's not that huge now but images of him and his sister (the image above where I look like I'm squeezing her to death) are just so cute.. I wonder if he misses her I know I do x

Another year older, another year wiser?

It was my 19th birthday yesterday and weirdly not the first birthday I've spent away from my family even though I've only just moved to Uni but this was different to all those other times at camps and things. I guess it was just that I wouldn't be going home in a few days and can have my presents and cards then instead. Here it would be another month and a half til I went home so my mum sent me down a few little presents (I'd received my iPad mini a few weeks ago) and a few cards that had already arrived. Unfortunately as most of my cards are airmailed from England they didn't arrive in time for when Mum sent me down the package but hey ho I can get over it.

My flatmates and Louise went to the big deal of making me cakes; flatmates cute chocolate heart shaped cakes and Louise made cute little cupcakes with the writing on above. Both were equally yummy and god it felt good to have cake! On the day I trudged off to uni to endure class that I really would miss a lot if I skipped like I was planning to and waited patiently until freedom. Louise and I went out to dinner at Nandos and then went and saw Oz: the Great and Powerful. Both were really good and the cinema turned out to be a lot cheaper than Tauranga so we've made a pact to go more often as treats.

Overall it was a pretty decent birthday besides not being able to be with my family I did end up skyping them so that was alright hehe x
