April Catch Up

Friday, 8 May 2015
So my birthday month is finally over and it truly was a birthday month I celebrated from Easter weekend all the way til last weekend it was great! Lets have a catch up and see what else happened.

The beginning of the month was Easter weekend and the start of my two week mid semester break. Due to not being able to go home for the holidays as I live so far away from my uni that it's slightly pointless paying over $300 to go home for around 10 days, my parents came down to Wellington instead and brought my brother along. We didn't do too many exciting things just spent some good quality time with them seen as I hadn't seen them since January it was nice to chill with them and celebrate my birthday seen as Brad was in Australia at a Brass Band competition which he won by the way. The following week his brothers came down and we saw Ed Sheeran!!!!! I can't contain my excitement it was amazing and I already have my tickets to see him again in December my gosh! I spent the rest of the holidays with Brads family in Wanganui enjoying the free time I had before uni started again and Brad started his busy Anzac week with Air Force, also celebrated my birthday again. Hallelujah the actual birthday happened! It was a fab day spent with friends and making memories; now I remember why I don't drink on weekdays anymore...

Hands down I've been loving cake oh my god I feel like I've had enough cake last month to make me never want cake again but hey if you're offering? I've also been loving the apple products I kindly got gifted for my birthday - being a special 21st I got an Apple TV and an Apple Trackpad, golly gosh they're amazing I can't wait til our internet is reconnected this week so I can permanently watch Netflix while doing uni work.

Unfortunately due to giving myself a few days off here and there over April because of holidays etc there have been less posts than usual however there's still enough to compete for top three and here they are:
iHerb Haul
I made a sneaky order over on iherb.com and this is what I hauled, also including a few more items from local shops. Check it out here.
Artist Attraction: Jasmine Dowling
Have a look at one of my favourite artists/designers at the moment, she creates gorgeous type designs and I just want to buy all of them. See here.

Following Sarah-Elizabeth's post I flipped out my wallet and with a coin I looked back into my past. Look at what I'm talking about here.

March Catch Up

Friday, 10 April 2015
I had a little break over Easter on the blog and it felt good! Not that I don't love blogging but ya know when you do something constantly and you get a few days off and don't think about it and you can think about other things? Yeah that! Anyways I'm back and I thought I'd bring it back with a little catch up with what happened in March, seen as it's well into April now!

Uni, Uni, Uni! I returned to University towards the end of February and I hand in my final project tomorrow. To catch you up I study Graphic Design and being in my third year now things are pretty intense. I had three projects this half semester; one being an app design with a partner based on an emergency, the other a book design on an architecture company, and the last being an analysis on Post Humanism. I was really excited for the app class but things didn't really go to plan and I didn't really get on all that well with my partner but hey it's over now. I've finished!! It's holiday time now!!
Apart from focusing on uni I've been out with Brad and friends a few times just to let go a little bit. This included going to see Insurgent (pretty good) and a glorious plum shortcake. But oh my god we got Netflix I repeat New Zealand got netflix! Of course I'm loving that, more on it in another post though.

My Nail Polish Collection
What it says on the tin, I share with you my collection of nail polish. You can check it out here.

February Catch Up

Monday, 2 March 2015
Well here we have the last few days of February, it seemed to fly by didn't it? Maybe that was just the short month feeling even shorter. Anyway welcome to a little segment I'm planning on doing at the end of each month ~ The catch up! Basically a little post telling you things I've been up to, the things I've been loving, and a quick look at my top posts of the month in case you missed them. On with the show!
As February is the last month of my holidays I've been spending a lot of it indoors relaxing while I still have the time. Since moving back to Wellington late last month we've been sorting things out in the house, rearranging furniture and cleaning out some of the cupboards. Boring I know! But there's also been some interesting things happening I promise! Brad and I went along to the Dinosaur exhibit at the local museum Te Papa at the start of the month to see the great T-Rex and his family. If you missed it don't worry it wasn't the greatest although the video of dinosaurs terrorising the Wellington streets was awesome.
It was also Valentines this month, hope you guys found that lucky someone wink wink. We're not really into the whole 'be lovey dovey only on one day' kinda thing so we didn't celebrate too much, only a card and a little present. I got Brad the little lego Charizard which we had fun building that day.
I've been hanging out with my friends a fair bit, once I actually get outside, and we visited the local pub at the start of the month to join in with the outdoor movie event going on. I admit it was The Princess Bride so not a 5 star for movie choice but it was a great evening and the movie did make things more hilarious. Also had many a games night recently, including a very funny three round event of Cranium featuring a lot of minor amounts of vodka, and some intense poker games. I swear I almost won most of them. Okay I won one round of Cranium and came second in poker...
Recently I've been loving the show How To Get Away With Murder, it's just come to TV here in NZ but thanks to the trusty internet Brad and I are already up to date and cannot wait for the season finale next week! It's similar to programs like NCIS and detective shows but is more around the legal sides of things, it's really great and I totally recommend it. Another thing I've been loving to do is playing Disney movies in the background whilst doing work. Mainly as I've watched them so many times that I know exactly what's happening without looking up, the same goes for Harry Potter movies.
I've also been loving online shopping, especially for make up, so keep your eyes peeled for a haul once it all arrives.

There we go. February is over and March is here, Autumn is coming! I can't wait for boots and jeans.

Recently...

Monday, 26 January 2015

I've been a bit busy recently and after scheduling some posts while I've been away with no internet I'm back with more inspiration! So to catch you up here's some of my recent goings on. I've spent some quality time with the family before moving back to Wellington as I'm not sure when I'll be next home so we took the campervan out to Whakatane for a weekend and then travelled down to Wellington to drop off my stuff and join Brad's family camping. It was the first proper time our families spent quality time together and I'm glad to say it went off very smoothly, helped along by alcohol of course! They all went home and Brad and I stayed longer to spend some time together after almost a month apart; throwing rocks at the beach is what all the cool couples are doing right?! Once returning to the land of internet and phone signal we actually managed to find a kitten! Our own little tiny kitten barely months old and free I might add, more on him in a later post though he needs to be properly introduced. Hope things are going well for you guys in the recent weeks.
