Winter Coat Shopping on ASOS

Wednesday, 6 April 2016
1. Plain Cape ($44.53) // 2. Patterned Blanket Cape (42.05) // 3. Reversible Cape ($59.37)
Apart from a couple of days when it first turned Autumn, yesterday was the first time I'd felt cold enough to think about wearing a coat. I spent most of the day at my desk working so instead I added more snuggly layers but boy is it starting to get colder. Wearing the same coats year after year though makes me feel like I really need a new one this year, what better way to start looking than hitting up ASOS. (Side note, whenever I think of ASOS now I think of my mum telling me about how it was around in her youth but was a smaller company in the UK called As Seen On Screen and sold clothing actresses would wear on TV).

4. Slot Through Cape ($29.69) // 5. Waterfall Jacket ($62.81) // 6. Longline Duster Coat ($111.32)
I've been wanting a cape for ages now, probably like two years, but I'm yet to get one. I haven't found one that's a decent price that I felt would suit me. I just love the fact that it's now fashionable to wear what is pretty much a giant blanket all day. I know I need one, I'm just not sure if I need one that's more loose, or more structured for my body type. I currently have the green and black patterned blanket cape in my cart so we'll see if I go through with that! I currently have a parka coat which reminds me of one of my favourite coats from my childhood but I want something I can wear more in the autumn time, along with my leather jacket. I love how light and comfortable the duster coat looks but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay over a hundred for a light coat.

Have you seen any similar things around? I've spotted one at Cotton On too that I may have a look at before hitting purchase on the one green one above.
